Find out moreLosing the only key to your car, or snapping it in the door, usually means one of two things: towing the car to a main dealer and waiting days for a key to arrive, or ringing a mobile auto locksmith. Modern keys are more than a piece of cut metal. There's a small chip in the key that the car has to recognise before the engine will start, and on keyless cars the whole key talks to the car by radio. We cut the blade to fit your locks, programme the chip so the car starts, and set up the lock and unlock buttons. If all your keys are gone we also wipe the missing ones from the car's memory, so a lost key can't be used to take the car.
