DAF
Lost or broken DAF lorry keys cut and started at your truck
Models: DAF XF · DAF CF · DAF LF · DAF XG · DAF XG+
How the DAF key works
Most DAF lorry keys are a chunky black plastic key with a metal blade. On many DAF trucks that blade folds out from the head of the key at the press of a button, like a flick knife. Newer DAFs also have small buttons on the key to lock and unlock the doors from a few steps away. Inside the head of the key there is a tiny chip the truck has to recognise before it will start the engine, so even a perfectly cut copy won't work on its own until that chip has been matched to your truck.
Common reasons people call us
- Lost the only key and the truck won't start or open
- Need a spare so the truck isn't off the road if a key goes missing
- Key worn down or bent and now it won't turn properly in the ignition
- Key snapped in the lock or in the door
- Locked out of the cab
What we do
We come to your truck, whether it's at the roadside, in a yard or at a depot, and cut a brand new DAF key on site. We then match the chip inside it to your truck so the engine will start, and we can wipe a lost or stolen key from the truck's memory so it can't be used again. We also cut and supply spare keys so you're never left with just one, sort flat fob batteries and worn or snapped keys, and get you back on the road the same day in most cases.
